Post-Secondary Updates via Ms. Fernandes:
Opening October 1st: Langara, KPU, Douglas College Most universities and colleges open their applications on October 1st - it's recommended that if you are interested in a limited-intake or limited-enrolment program at any of the above institutions (such as Nursing, Business, Engineering, some Fine Arts programs), that you apply as soon as possible on or after October 1st. It will say on the program page website whether the program is limited or whether it is open. These schools evaluate applications right away and limited-intake programs will often fill up sooner than expected so it's good to apply as soon as possible. If you are applying to Nursing at either Langara or Douglas (KPU is not open for Nursing applications), you will be applying to Academic Foundations for Potential Nursing applicants (Douglas) or Foundations in Health Studies (Langara). You cannot apply right out of high school for Bachelor of Nursing at these schools, you have to do their Foundations programs first. If you are applying to any program at Langara College (limited or open enrolment), it is also good to apply as soon as possible starting October 1st since the earlier you apply to Langara, the sooner your registration date will be for courses in the spring.
